What is the WanderAway box?

The WanderAway Box is a subscription service that brings the travel experience to your front door. Every even month (February, April, June, August, October, December), you will receive your carefully curated box. 

How does it work?

You can choose from our 3 subscription options - month to month (every other month), 6 months (3 boxes), 12 months (6 boxes). Once you've selected your subscription, just enter your payment and shipping information, and we'll take care of the rest! 

How are the boxes priced?

We price our boxes based on the number and quality of our items. Our merchandise comes from small businesses and local artisans from the locations we are bringing to you. Our goal is that you are able to are able to experience a getaway without the hassle, or expense, of physically traveling. The longer subscription you select, the more of a discount you receive, with the annual subscription giving you one free box! 

What comes in a box?

Each box will have different items that represent a culture, location, or adventure. When you travel to a new location, the sights, sounds, food, and physical environment all allow you to immerse yourself. We include goods that appeal to your senses, so that you may have an authentic wanderlust experience within the comfort of your own home. 

What is the family box?

Our family boxes offer the same products you love in our regular boxes, but with enough to accommodate families of 3 to 4 (based on 2 adults and 2 children).

Does that mean family boxes include double the merchandise? 

Not exactly. While we will provide more of some items, not all items will be increased. You can expect more food items and goods that the whole family can enjoy, while other handcrafted goods, such as household items will remain limited in number.

When will I be billed?

Your billing cycle depends on your subscription choice. If you have chosen our month to month option, you will be billed on the 1st of every even month (February, April, June, August, October, & December). If you have subscribed to our 6 month option, you will be billed every 6 months from the date of your initial subscription purchase. For our annual subscribers, you will be billed on the 1st of the anniversary month of your purchase. 

Can I give the WanderAway Box as a gift? 

Absolutely! In fact, we think the WanderAway Box makes a wonderful gift for a busy career parent, a full-time mom or dad, or anyone who loves to explore! Head into our Shop where you can choose between full subscription gifts or choose a gift card denomination that works best for you. 

Do you offer coupons or discounts? 

Occasionally, we offer discounts to our customers and new subscribers. Promo codes can only be used once and cannot be combined. Coupons are not retroactive and cannot be applied to previous purchases or subscriptions. 

When will my box ship?

We know you're excited to receive your slice of adventure! Our boxes ship at the end of each even month. We'll notify you by email and include tracking information once your box is on its way. 

How do I change my shipping or billing information? 

Log into your WanderAway Box account. Go the the Address Manager and choose which address you would like to edit.  Once you have updated an address, all of your subscriptions and future boxes will be directed to the new address. 

What is your cancellation policy? 

While we hate to see you go, subscribers can cancel their subscription at any time. If you cancel less than 5 business days prior to being billed for the month under your month-to-month membership, the cancellation will go into effect prior to the subsequent subscription period, and the upcoming subscription period will ship according to schedule. Log into your account to cancel your subscription. 

How do I pause or cancel my subscription? 

Log into your WanderAway Box account. Under "Update your information" you will find a list of your current subscription(s). Click "edit" and and choose your new subscription term. 

What happens if my order is damaged?

We try our best to make sure your WanderAway box gets to you in tact. That being said, sometimes things happen in transit. If your items are damaged in transit, we will certainly replace damaged items in your box. Email us a picture of the damaged items and your order number to hello[at]wanderawaybox[dot]com. 

Do you offer refunds?

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we will refund your first box. To receive a refund, you must ship the box back with all items unopened. Reach out to us at hello[at]wanderawaybox[dot]com for details before shipping your box.
